Text provided by the design studio. WOF Wooden, alongside Keyreative, a creative collaborator from Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang, presented Taku Installation as a pre-event to the main event of WOF 2020-2025. This installation featured its inaugural collection titled Taku Series, and was held from June 25 to July 4, 2025, in two locations at once: Kafe Partikular and Stoffel.

WOF Wooden’s Creative Collaboration with Two Renowned Cafes

The Taku installation is a celebration of WOF’s five-year journey in the design and building industry. With the theme ‘Presentation of Stillness,’ the installation serves as an explorative medium to convey the philosophy and narrative behind each work in the Taku Series.

WOF collaborated with two culinary creative spaces Partikular and Stoffel to create a design experience that is closer to and at one with public spaces. This collaboration not only expands the audience reach, but also emphasizes that design can be a means of reflection and appreciation of the quiet moments in everyday life.

An Aesthetic Journey Towards WOF 2020–2025

The Taku Series collection represents WOF’s dedication to creating works that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Each design object is organized as a visual narrative, presenting the stillness, simplicity, and tranquility that has become WOF’s identity over the past five years.

According to Danny Rizky, WOF’s Head of Marketing, preparations for the main WOF 2020-2025 event have been going well so far.

“Preparations for the WOF 2020-2025 event have been smooth so far, although there were several changes in ideas until we finally found a new concept for Partikular and Stoffel. So, so far it has gone without any significant obstacles,” he said.

Building Enthusiasm Through Interactive Pre-Events

Through Taku Installation, WOF Wooden wants to create a space for interaction and discussion involving design activists, creative industry players, and the general public. This event is expected to foster an appreciative spirit towards design as part of everyday life.

To conclude the series, the peak of the event will be held at Studio WOF, featuring design talks and exhibition sessions that bring together creators, designers, and creative communities. The event will serve as a platform to share insights and celebrate innovation in the world of design.

A Five-Year Reflection and Future Steps

The Taku installation is not just a pre-event, but a moment of reflection and affirmation of the new direction of WOF. Through the works and collaborations presented, WOF invites audiences to celebrate its long journey towards the culmination of the WOF 2020-2025 event, a pivotal moment in Indonesia’s design landscape and creative industry.
